Highest quality plants guaranteed and at lower prices

We value our clients, and work closely with them to offer options tailored to their needs. House plants essential in providing high levels of oxygen as we sleep include the Fiddle Leaf Fig (right) and Snake plant (below). NASA research states the Fig plant increases air humidity, decreases fatigue, colds, headaches, coughs, sore throats and flu-like symptoms. Both plants break down chemicals in carpet and furniture, cleaning the air of allergens, pollutants and toxins through their leaves, soil and roots. Both are easy to care for and hard to kill.
Our Goal

Quality and service are our hallmarks. Price comparisons are considerably less than area floral and garden centers.
Rubber plant (Ficus elastica), on NASA’s best house plants list to absorb and break down airborne chemicals rendering them harmless, eliminates bacteria and mold spores and purifies the air. Prefers bright light but can survive in lower light. Let soil dry before watering. Stick a finger, up to the second knucle, in soil, testing moisture before watering. If moist, wait a few days then check again. Over watering kills most plants.

Sankofa Farm and Nursery offers a variety of seasonal and perennial plants to beautify your home, office and surroundings. Above, at the entry, the un-green evergreen, Coral Bell, maintains its colorful leaves all year around. It produces tall shoots of tiny white flowers in late Spring. Below, the Yule Tide Camellia blooms in December and January.

House plants Sansevieria (Snake plant- tall vertical leaf); low or bright light. Shorter wider spread Aglaonema SP Chinese Evergreen, pink center vein; low or medium light.

Do not over water. For the Chinese Evergreen, do the finger soil test up to first knuckle. If moist, wait a few days, then check again. If dry, water, one cup. Pour water from draining saucer. For Snake plant, water every two weeks. Both are easy care, hard to kill.
